Beautiful antique 18th century French Louis XV fireplace mantel executed in soft colored and toned limestone.
The moulded shelf is integral to the frieze which is centred by an asymmetrical shell cartouche. The solid frieze is supported on swooping double paneled jambs.
This country style fireplace come from a large manor building in the Burgundy area, great patina and atmosfere.
Depth can be altered.
French circa 1780. Nice original condition.
